If you think of your website as a house – the domain name/URL of your website would be your street address (it’s how people can find it). Think of your hosting account as your landlord or your neighborhood (who you have to pay HOA dues to). Your hosting provider keeps your site online. Every website needs to have a hosting provider.
We are an example of a hosting provider (for information on our hosting services go to: hosting.doodledogadvertising.com . Another example of a hosting provider, who is well-known would be Godaddy. We prefer (but do not require) you use one of these two options if we are building a new site for you.
An example of a domain name is www.doodledog.com. In most cases you will purchase the domain name you would like in the same location as you purchase your hosting account.
If we are building a new website for you and you would like to host and have your domain through us – we are happy to set this all up for you – just ask.
